Capio-owned Lundby Hospital renews care-services contract with Västra Götaland region Lundby Hospital AB's contract with Västra Götaland region for most of the hospital's operations has been renewed. The contract, which corresponds to annual revenues of approximately SEK 100 M, is for a five- year period commencing September 1, 2001. Lundby Hospital conducts specialised care and inpatient services on a five-day basis each week. The extended contract relates primarily to the activities currently conducted at the hospital. "We combine the advantages of a small, local hospital with the large range of competencies offered by a larger hospital. It is gratifying that our care-services contract has been renewed to embrace both outpatient visits to our clinics and inpatient surgery. This means that we can continue our role as a key complement to university hospitals, primary healthcare facilities and private practitioners," says Ingrid Hultman, Managing Director of Lundby Hospital AB. The hospital has approximately 200 employees. A newly developed dialysis unit was started at the facility in 1999, as was MR equipment. Lundby Hospital has been part of the Capio Group since 1994.
