CapMan Infra’s data centre platform appoints Maria Sundvall as Chief Executive Officer
CapMan Infra’s data centre platform appoints Maria Sundvall, former EMEA Managing Director at digital infrastructure company Equinix, as its CEO. Maria joins the company with a strong entrepreneurial drive and extensive experience from the data centre sector, making her an ideal profile to lead the company to grow into a leading northern European data centre platform providing European-wide connectivity.
Maria Sundvall (MSc Engineering) is an experienced leader with strong experience from the data centre sector. Most recently she held the position of EMEA Managing Director at digital infrastructure company Equinix. During her five and a half years at Equinix she was able to grow the company’s Swedish business by over 40%. In addition to her strong industry experience, Maria is a natural leader who stands for openness, communication and giving people responsibility to lead. She also has a background in driving ESG topics and sustainability transitions in the digital infrastructure industry. Before working for Equinix she held several C-level positions at various digital infrastructure and technology companies. As a result of her long industry experience, she is very well-connected in the Nordic data centre sector.

CapMan Infra’s data centre platform currently holds two companies, Dutch IT infrastructure company Serverius and Danish data centre operator Fuzion, which both CapMan Nordic Infrastructure II Fund invested in, in 2023.

Serverius provides IT infrastructure services and solutions including colocation and connectivity in three operating data centers in the Netherlands. Fuzion, established in 2001, is a Danish operator of data centers offering server storage colocation, supplying space, cooling, electricity, security etc. for customer-owned equipment. The company operates four data centers located in central Jutland and is expanding to a new location in Copenhagen. Fuzion mainly focus on SME customers, which is an underserved niche by larger Danish colocation players.
