Press Release

Oslo, March 22, 2022

Öresundskraft AB has signed a rental contract for CO2 Capsol´s CapsolGo mobile
carbon capture demonstration unit.

CO2 Capsol will deliver a CapsolGo carbon capture demonstration campaign to
Öresundskraft´s Filbornaverket Energy from Waste (EfW) Combined Heat and Power
(CHP) plant in Helsingborg, Sweden.

The CapsolGo demonstration campaign will be delivered as a service with a
flexible testing and validation program, providing Öresundskraft AB with
valuable data and information on the Hot Potassium Carbonate (HPC) capture
technology, helping to accelerate the decision processes towards a full-scale
carbon capture plant. A standard test program has a duration of 4 months and
will be carried out by the independent company Captimise AB, specializing in
carbon capture, utilization, and storage, to ensure objective and reliable test
results.

“We are excited to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proven HPC technology at
the Filbornaverket EfW plant. With the installation of the CapsolGo
demonstration unit, Öresundskraft has chosen a flexible and cost-efficient
solution for testing of carbon capture technology on their specific flue gas and
operation. In addition, the CapsolGo demonstration unit serves as a showcase to
stakeholders and helps them to win public approval. Additionally, Öresundskraft
will be a role model for all EfW power plants globally, demonstrating safe and
environmentally friendly carbon capture from EfW flue gases”, says Jan Kielland,
CEO of CO2 Capsol AS.

“Signing up for a demonstration campaign with the CapsolGo HPC carbon capture
technology is part of our long-term strategy for sustainable energy production
and negative carbon emissions from our production of heat and power. With the
installation of a full-scale carbon capture plant at Filbornaverket
Öresundskraft will be able to reduce the emissions of CO2 with approximately
210,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, says Anders Östlund, CEO of Öresundskraft AB.

The CapsolGo demonstration campaign at Filbornaverket will start in September
2022. The demonstration project has received funding from the Swedish Energy
Agency.

About CO2 Capsol AS

Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) is crucial to achieving net zero
emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050. CO2 Capsol´s carbon capture technology is
an essential part in a successful clean energy transition. Carbon capture
contributes both to directly reducing emissions in critical economic sectors and
to remove CO2 from facilities such as Waste-to-Energy (WtE) and biomass power
plants - so-called negative CO2 emissions. Negative CO2 emissions will be
essential in compensating for hard to abate emission sources. CO2 Capsol is
proud to be part of the solution for a sustainable future.

CO2 Capsol has a very competitive technology protected by IP rights. The base
case revenue model is to license out patents. We negotiate directly with project
owners or participate by collaboration with industrial players.
CO2 Capsol is listed on Euronext Growth Oslo, Norway (ticker: CAPSL).
