Cardo wins its largest ever door order, worth SEK 38 million

Cardo’s division Door & Logistics Solutions is to supply hangar doors for maintenance hangars in Abu Dhabi. The order, which is worth SEK 38 million, is Cardo’s largest ever order from the aircraft industry. The doors will be delivered in 2010.

Under the Megadoor brand, Cardo sells doors up to150 meters in width to airports, shipyards and the mining industry worldwide. The doors in the order in question will be supplied for maintenance hangars for aircraft of the Airbus A380 type. The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger aircraft in the world and with its two complete passenger decks carries up to 525 passengers. The design of the doors cuts the customer’s operating costs and also helps to improve the hangar environment by reducing the amount of dust that finds its way into the building. Delivery will occur in three phases with a first installation in February 2010. The final delivery will occur in mid-2010. The order will be booked in the third quarter. “Megadoor is an exciting product area with many different applications.
