Cardo’s division Door & Logistics Solutions has entered into an agreement to deliver doors and docking solutions for one of the world’s largest logistics companies. The doors will be installed at the company’s logistics center in Västerås, Sweden. The order is worth SEK 8.1 million.

Under the Crawford brand, Cardo sells industrial door, docking and service solutions for operations in retail, industry, transportation and logistics. The order in question comprises doors, docking systems and a unique control and follow-up system, Crawford Dock Management. The system is integrated into the customer’s facility management system and is thereby made available in the customer’s existing web-based environment. The system makes the docking process more efficient by automatically reporting errors, guiding trucks to the correct docking bay and compiling important operating and user statistics. This solution, which has been developed by Cardo, is also used to reduce the energy consumption of the logistics center by ensuring that the doors are open only during loading and unloading. “In all divisions and for a considerable time, we have been developing technologies and new solutions that meet the demand created by some of today’s greatest global challenges. Our system for the control of doors is a good example and a significant reason for us winning the order,” says Peter Aru, Cardo’s President and CEO. The order will be booked in the third quarter. Delivery will occur during the second quarter of 2010. Malmö, Sweden, September 28 2009 Cardo AB (publ)
