New York Times Bestselling Author and Real Estate Owner Grant Cardone Offers Housing for Hurricane Sandy Evacuees

Miami, FL – November 7, 2012 – Grant Cardone announced today he is making apartment dwellings in Charlotte, NC immediately available for evacuees of Hurricane Sandy.  The apartment units are being offered for two months free at no charge at a 360 unit apartment community just a few miles east of downtown Charlotte.  

"This is a way for me to help those in need.  We can provide a place, short term, for people to start rebuilding their lives and protected from the cold during a time of need", said Grant Cardone.  “Immediately available are 6 three-bedroom two-bathroom units, a two-bedroom one-bathroom unit, and a one-bedroom one-bathroom unit.  They are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis for individuals that meet the qualifying standards per the management company’s rental policy for the property.   

“My heart goes out to those affected by this devastating storm. I spent 29 years in Louisiana and I know how traumatic these natural disasters can be on people and their families” said Grant Cardone.  “Thousands of people need a warm safe place to live now.  We made a similar offer when Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans. Almost two dozen families drove from the New Orleans area to Tucson, AZ where I owned properties at the time.”  

Evacuees in need of a housing solution can apply online at http://www.liveatsomerstone.com/pages/apply-online.asp.  You must provide evidence that you have been displaced by the storm, meet credit requirements of the property and have no criminal record. Utilities are the responsibility of the tenant and a security deposit will be required.
