The board of directors has appointed Anders Karlsson as new president. He succeeds the company’s founder Ingemar Lagerlöf who leaves the company after 13 years, five of which as president. The change takes place today.

Anders Karlsson comes from the position as president of LinkMed’s subsidiary AbSorber AB and has more than 20 years experience from the pharmaceutical industry.

”The company now enters a new phase with the focus entirely on the transplantation business. Therefore, it is a natural step to change the management of the company”, says Monica Caneman, chairwoman of the board. “Anders Karlsson with his background in AbSorber and with long experience of marketing and sales is well placed to further strengthen the company’s market position. A priority is also to form the parent company, AbSorber and Olerup SSP into a joint organization in order to achieve increased efficiency and lower costs.”
