Christian Begby appointed CEO of Carnegie’s Norwegian operations

Christian Begby has been appointed CEO of Carnegie ASA. Christian, who is 49 years old, has been working for Investment Banking in Carnegie ASA for the past two years. He has broad and extensive experience of the Norwegian and Nordic investment banking business, having worked more than 20 years in the industry.

Before joining Carnegie, Christian spent 15 years working for Orkla Finans/SEB Enskilda, where he was Head of Equity Research for six years and was Head of Corporate Finance for the last two years. Prior to joining Orkla, Christian worked with Union Bank of Norway and SEB in Frankfurt.

At the same time, Natasja Henriksen, who has been acting CEO since September last year, will become Chief Operating Officer of Carnegie ASA with responsibility for support functions.

“Christian has the right background and experience to head Carnegie’s Norwegian operations during its next phase. He has a strong track-record from corporate finance transactions and the brokerage business and possesses strong leadership capabilities. At the same time I would like to take the opportunity to thank Natasja Henriksen for strong contributions, serving as CEO during a transition period.
