Mikael Ericson appointed new CEO of Carnegie

The Board of Directors of D. Carnegie & Co AB has appointed Mikael Ericson new President and CEO. Mikael Ericson will assume his position not later than July 2008.

Mikael Ericson joins Carnegie from Handelsbanken where he has been Executive Vice President since 2006 and head of Handelsbanken Capital Markets since 2003. Previously, he has held various positions within the Handelsbanken in Stockholm and London. Between 1987 and 1993 he worked with fixed-income trading at Carnegie. He has been the Chairman of the Swedish Securities Dealers Association since 2006.

”Mikael Ericson has the right background to lead Carnegie with his years of experience in leading positions in the finance industry. He has successfully built up operations inside and outside Sweden and advanced them to new positions on the market,” says Anders Fällman, Board Chairman of Carnegie.

Anders Onarheim, Acting CEO of Carnegie, will remain in this position until Mikael Ericson joins the company.
