Carver Yachts Leads the Industry Introducing Three New Models in 2013
Pulaski, Wis. (July 11, 2013) Carver Yachts is embarking on a very aggressive period of new product development in 2013, unveiling three totally new models.
It has been several years since a yacht builder has introduced this many completely new models in such a short period.
Carver’s new models include:
- The Carver C40 which was unveiled last week
- The Carver C34, a low-profile command bridge-style yacht, first introduced at the 2013 New York Boat Show in January
- The Carver 37’ Coupé scheduled for launch later this year.
“We expect this new product line will energize and electrify the market and give boat people one of their best reasons to buy a new boat in years,” said Robert VanGrunsven, president of Marquis Yachts, LLC, builders of Carver brand yachts. “We took a very careful look at what was being offered in the midsize segment of the industry and decided to create a new line of cruising yachts that are unlike anything currently available.”
Some of the key features included in the Carver C34 are a homelike floor plan, two private staterooms and open entertainment areas, as well as extra wide deck walkways. Also included were advanced twin inboard engines to provide the smoothest ride and easiest maneuverability possible.
Dick Nocenti, marketing director for Carver Yachts, said the boats’ spaciousness, their unexpected features along with their affordability have made new Carver boats very hot this year.
“The response to the new Carver C34 has been tremendous with our manufacturing backlog extending to the end of 2013. There have been thousands of people who have toured the C34 since it was launched last January,” Nocenti said. “The common thread is that this new Carver offers the space and accommodations of a much larger yacht than the C34’s 34’ LOA. People are also impressed when they learn that the C34 is priced much lower than expected for a 34’ high quality, full-featured yacht built by an established and proven American yacht builder.”
The C34 and the other two new yachts represent the first full round of new product development within the Carver line for a number of years and exhibit the design model of unexpected features combined with spaciousness, VanGrunsven said.
“We are and will continue to approach the market very aggressively,” VanGrunsven said. “These new Carvers represent a fresh way of thinking about spacious, comfortable cruising yachts that deliver value far beyond their purchase price. Ingenious use of space and a price that represents outstanding value are attributes that will be constant features of all new Carver designs.”
