Yvonne Sörensen Björud is known for her superb financial results, for turning losses into profits, at such major brands as Svenskt Tenn and Berns Hotel. She will now step in as the new CEO for United Spaces.
Yvonne Sörensen Björud arrives with impressive experience in management positions at successful companies within the decorating and hospitality industries, as well as a wide-ranging leadership background from various European countries.
“Yvonne Sörensen Björud’s substantial background of creating successful, profitable companies makes her the totally right person for developing and producing United Spaces coworking offers for a fast-growing operation, while increasing profits”, says Henrik Saxborn, Castellum CEO.
Current shared-office demand gives rise to predictions of strong growth in coming years, and through the acquisition of a coworking-specialist company like United Spaces, Castellum can invite new and existing customers to shared office space at very attractive addresses in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö, as well as other cities. Over the next few years, Castellum plans to increase leasable office area at United Spaces to approx. 40,000-50,000 square meters, from the current 11,000 sq.m.
Göran Garberg, who founded United Spaces with Lars Rydén, will continue to be actively engaged in operations as Senior Advisor.
Yvonne Sörensen Björud will assume her new position in February, 2019, and comes most recently from operating her own company, where assignments have included serving as a working Board Chairman for Sven-Harrys Konst- och Bostadsstiftelse cultural foundation and within the Stureplansgruppen hospitality and entertainment group.
“I really burn for creating added value for customers and guests. United Spaces is already the leading coworking company in the Nordic countries, and it feels extremely exciting to join Castellum in creating future work- and meeting-spaces for everyone who goes to work in our buildings”, says Yvonne Sörensen Björud.
