Stefan Nydahl will become the Managing Director of Catella's subsidiary IPM Informed Portfolio Management (IPM) on 1 September 2015. Stefan takes over from the current Managing Director, Lars Ericsson, who will take on the role of Deputy Managing Director with responsibility for distribution.

"During the past year, the profitability of IPM has significantly improved and the company is now well prepared for a more expansionary phase. With his extensive experience in quantitative portfolio management, both as a portfolio manager and from his work with business development, Stefan will bring additional expertise to IPM's core areas. He will form the foundation of a highly competent management team," says Knut Pedersen, President and CEO of Catella.

Stefan Nydahl joins us from the Brummer group, where he was president and chief investment officer at Archipel Asset Management, a company that Stefan was involved in founding in 2006. Stefan has previously worked as a portfolio manager at Nektar Asset Management, AMF Pension and Quantal Asset Management. He has a PhD in Economics from Uppsala University and has also pursued postgraduate studies at University of California, Berkeley.

"IPM has a very strong track record in quantitative management, and has over the years succeeded in attracting renowned institutional investors from Europe, Asia and the USA. Efforts to address new and existing clients will now be further intensified," concludes Knut Pedersen.
