Scribona launches efficiency program
SCRIBONA LAUNCHES EFFICIENCY PROGRAM An efficiency program has been launched within Scribona's existing organization and the recently assimilated PC Lan. In the initial phase, 24 Scribona employees and an equal number of PC Lan employees in Sweden will be given notice. The efficiency program will affect employees in both the former PC Lan and Scribona. In addition, a decision has been made to relocate Scribona's operations in Bergen to Oslo. As far as possible, the personnel in Bergen will be offered employment at Scribona in Oslo. The measures introduced in the initial phase will provide cost savings of around SEK 25 million per year. In a second phase, Scribona will review operations in the other Nordic countries and assess the Group's structure following the merger. In connection with the merger between Scribona and PC Lan, the Scribona Distribution and Scribona Solutions business areas are being reorganized into a more exclusively customer and supplier-oriented Nordic structure. Apart from the above rationalization measures, the merger will generate a number of valuable synergies. The merged company, operating under the Scribona name, will be the market-leader in all geographic markets where it is represented. The core competencies of the respective companies are well matched, giving the merged company a strong position in both volume distribution and system solutions. The product portfolio and customer base in PC Lan are a valuable complement to Scribona's product offering and customer base, which means that the two companies' capacity to meet both customer and supplier requirements will be enhanced through the merger.
