Scribona organization integrated with PC Lan Scribona is restructuring its organization following the merger between Scribona and PC Lan. The merged company will retain the Scribona name and the previous listing on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, and since May 9, 2001, also the Oslo Stock Exchange. Lennart Svantesson will continue to serve as President & CEO and Roald Sannaes, former President of PC Lan, has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Divisional President for the Scribona Solutions business area. "The decision to operate the merged company under the Scribona name is based on our intention to continue building on the strong brand Scribona has established in the IT industry", says Lennart Svantesson, CEO of Scribona. In Scribona's new organization all similar operations will be coordinated on a Nordic basis within the three business areas Solutions, Distribution and Brand Alliance, all of which will have a pan-Nordic structure. A new unit for group-wide business support is being set up under the name of Scribona Group Customer Services. At the same time, a new staff function has been created - Quality and Security - as part of Scribona's focus on quality assurance in processes and customer management and security issues related to information and physical processes. "We are now working to quickly attain the potential synergies offered by the merger to increase our sales volume and profit margins, and thereby boost profitability. Since the two companies' product and customer structures complement each other well, we anticipate growth in sales. In addition, the merger will allow us to cut costs by coordinating operations where it is rational and feasible from a customer standpoint. For instance, we are integrating PC Lan's warehouse operations in Oslo with Scribona's, which will create the Norwegian market's largest logistics center. Another example is the newly formed Scribona Group Customer Services unit where we are coordinating group-wide functions to optimize efficiency and competency and build a stronger Scribona", says Lennart Svantesson. Parallel to this, the Scribona Distribution and Scribona Solutions business areas will be adapted to Scribona's new customer and supplier- oriented Nordic structure. Scribona Brand Alliance will benefit from the merger in the form of the efficiency gains achieved through utilization of group-wide functions in the new Scribona Group Customer Services business support unit. Scribona's new group management consists of Lennart Svantesson, President and CEO, Roald Sannaes, Executive Vice President and Divisional President for Scribona Solutions, Anders Bley, Executive Vice President and responsible for the Group's business development and corporate communications, Lars Palm, Vice President and Divisional President for Toshiba Document Solutions, Tom Ekevall Larsen, new Divisional President for Scribona Distribution, Bo Hallén, CFO, Magnus Johansson, responsible for the new Scribona Group Customer Services and Jan-Peter Valheim, responsible for the integration project.
