Cathay Pacific Celebrates Newark Route Launch with Fare Sale
September 12, 2013 (San Francisco, CA) – To celebrate the launch of its newest route from Newark Liberty International Airport to Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific Airways, the home carrier of Hong Kong recognized around the globe for its amenities and service excellence, is pleased to announce an eight-day fare sale exclusive to Newark passengers.
Round-trip economy class tickets from Newark to Hong Kong purchased between September 16 - 23, 2013 will be on sale from just $759* – including all taxes and fuel surcharges – for travel between March 1 – April 30, 2014.
The new service, commencing on March 1, 2014, will complement Cathay Pacific’s current four-times-daily service from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York. The launch of the Newark service will provide more convenience and greater flexibility for passengers traveling to and from the New York metropolitan area.
The service will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring Cathay Pacific’s new cabin products, including the awarding-winning Business Class, Premium Economy Class and the new Economy Class seats. Together with the special service provided by Cathay Pacific’s cabin crew, recently named the “World’s Best Cabin Staff” by Skytrax, and a state-of-the-art inflight entertainment system in all classes, passengers will be provided with the best experience when they travel between Newark and Hong Kong.
Newark will become Cathay Pacific’s fifth gateway in the United States, and seventh in North America. The airline currently serves Chicago, Los Angeles, New York (JFK), San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver.
