Caverion acquires Fitelnet Oy, a company specialising in protection against electromagnetic interference and indoor mobile network solutions, in Finland
Caverion Finland has signed an agreement to acquire Fitelnet Oy. Founded in 2001, Fitelnet is a technology company specialising in high-performance protection solutions against electromagnetic interference and indoor mobile network solutions. The purpose of the products is to protect critical electrical systems and infrastructure against electromagnetic interference. The solutions support both commercial and public authority networks.

The company has 10 employees, and its annual revenue is approximately EUR 1.8 million. Fitelnet meets the strict quality, security, and traceability requirements set for deliveries to the defense industry and critical infrastructure.
The acquisition is in line with Caverion’s growth strategy and strengthens its capabilities in security services. Market demand for electromagnetic interference protection solutions is expected to grow especially in the defense and security market, but also in critical infrastructure, such as the energy and data industries.
The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval and expected during the third quarter of 2026.
Protection against electromagnetic interference is part of strategic capability and business continuity assurance
High-value assets, such as energy distribution, banking networks, healthcare, data centers, and communications networks, are becoming increasingly dependent on uninterrupted data transmission. EMP (electromagnetic pulse) and HPM (high-power microwave) protection solutions complement traditional cybersecurity by extending into the physical operating environment.
“In the worst-case scenario, electromagnetic pulses and high-power microwaves can paralyse systems in an instant. This is not merely a temporary technical disruption, but a broad loss of operational capability that can affect the society as a whole. We want to contribute to ensuring the resilience of our society and businesses. We warmly welcome Fitelnet’s specialists to Caverion”, says Petri Lehtinen, Head of the Building Technology Projects Unit at Caverion Finland.
“Protection solutions operate as invisible layers of security that ensure critical systems continue to function even amid disruptions, exceptional circumstances, and deliberate attacks. We want to ensure that our company’s solutions can scale rapidly to meet growing market demand. In addition, it is extremely important to us that our company continues to operate under the ownership of a responsible, financially strong, and reliable company. We are very pleased to become part of Caverion”, says Markku Valkealahti, CEO and owner of Fitelnet.
