Caverion delivers Total Technical Solutions for an office building in Germany
Caverion delivers Total Technical Solutions covering all building systems for the renovation of the telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom’s office in Berlin. The customer in the project is the facility management company Strabag Property and Facility Services. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 12 million.
As technical general contractor, Caverion is responsible for the project execution of all building systems. The disciplines included are Heating and Sanitation, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Cooling, Electricity, Information and Communication Services, Automation, and Security and Safety. The renovation area totals 15,000 square metres over ten floors and was constructed in the 1920s. The works are carried out during ongoing operations. The building once hosted Europe’s biggest telephone exchange centre.
The renovation measures make sure that the real estate complies with modern building standards. Caverion installs, for instance, seven ventilation systems and 150 square metres of chilled sails to ensure a good indoor climate.
“The scope of the works together with a short construction period demand a reliable partner. In many comparable projects, like the revitalisation of the Telekom headquarters in Bonn, Caverion has proved its competence,” says Werner Kühn, Executive Vice President & CEO, Caverion’s Germany division.
Caverion’s delivery will be completed in March 2018.
