Caverion extends its Technical Maintenance and Managed Operations contract

for the St. Petersburg passenger port in Russia

Caverion has extended its Technical Maintenance and Managed Operations contract with Marine Façade, the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg, Russia. Services are provided for the majority of technical systems, including heating and sanitation, ventilation and air-conditioning, cooling, electricity and automation, among others. Caverion is also responsible for the maintenance of the special portable water and sewage treatment systems as well as for the boarding ramps and bridges for the cruise ships. The new contract came into force on February 1, 2015, and it is valid for three years. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 1.9 million (RUB 141 million).

The passenger port consists of 4 passenger terminals and 7 berths for the cruise ships, which makes it the biggest passenger port in the Baltic Sea region. The port is operated 24/7 around the year with on-site technical personnel. The contract employs a total of 35 persons from Caverion.

Caverion’s cooperation with Marine Façade started already in 2011. This is the second time that the client has extended the contract.

“The contract demonstrates that we are considered a reliable service partner for the public sector in Russia. We are very pleased to be able to extend the contract with the client,” says Seppo Hakala, head of Caverion’s operations in St. Petersburg.
