Caverion renews major Managed Services contract for a skyscraper in Munich, Germany
Caverion renewed its Managed Services contract for Munich Uptown building, a skyscraper and an office complex in Munich, Germany. A five-year contract was signed with the building owners (Europyramid S.á.r.l., Euro Sphinx S.á.r.l., AFIAA Campus GmbH, LaSalle Investment Management, Campus E S.á.r.l) with an optional extension to eight years. The value of the contract is not disclosed.
The office complex consists of a 38-storey high-rise building, which is the tallest skyscraper in Munich, a campus building and a two-storey underground car park. The total gross floor area is 77,700 square metres. The property is home to well-known companies working in telecommunications, IT, banking, motorsports and medicine.
“Caverion started working at the site in 2012. Some of the building systems have been modernised and optimised since then. The result is energy savings of up to 60 percent, for example in air-conditioning,” says Werner Kühn, Executive Vice President & CEO, division Germany of Caverion.
The scope of the order covers the disciplines of Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Electricity, Cooling, Security & Safety, Heating and Sanitation. Caverion is responsible for the property’s Technical Maintenance and Managed Services, including, apart from the technical services, the management of services related to cleaning and outdoor area maintenance, for example.
The contractors belong to Caverion’s Real Estate Investors and Developers client segment.
