Caverion to deliver Total Technical Solutions for the extension of Rantatie Business Park, Finland
Caverion delivers Total Technical Solutions for the first phase of the extension of Rantatie Business Park constructed by YIT in Kalasatama, Helsinki, Finland. The value of the agreement is not disclosed. The building is being developed by Lindström Invest Oy.
Caverion is responsible for the design, Project Management and Project Execution for all building systems. Total Technical Solutions cover the disciplines of Heating and Sanitation, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Cooling, Electricity, Information and Communication, Security and Safety, as well as Automation systems.
“The straightforward cooperation between the contractors and the client have made the extension of Rantatie Business Park possible. We have had a very client oriented approach in everything we do. Same good principles will help us to finalise this project in a controllable manner within the next 18 months,” says Matti Sarikkola, Vice President of Office construction at YIT.
The construction of the approximately 6,000 square metre office building named “Rantatien Kasvu” and an underground parking facility was started in January 2016 and the project will be completed in the end of 2017. LEED environmental certificate with the aim of gold level will be applied for the building.
Kalasatama is a new residential and business district, going up on waterfront sites adjacent to the Helsinki inner city. A modern city milieu and the redevelopment will bring new residents and new commercial space to the area.
YIT belongs to Caverion’s general contractor client segment.
