Caverion to implement building technology of the new Technopolis office building in Lithuania
Caverion is to deliver Total Technical Solutions, covering all building systems, for a new building of Technopolis campus in Vilnius, Lithuania. The agreement has been signed with construction company Veikmės Statyba. The value of the agreement is approximately EUR 10 million.
The new building, called Nova, will be an extension to Technopolis Ozas Campus and constructed according to Gold-level LEED requirements. Caverion is responsible for installing the building’s Heating & Sanitation, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Cooling, Electricity, Information and Communication Services, Security and Safety, and Automation. The building will have a centralised building management system, including intelligent fire and safety alarms and an access control system.
“Our collaboration with Caverion started a few years ago during the construction of Delta campus in Vilnius. Excellent performance and timely implementation of the project convinced us that Caverion could implement building solutions for the new Nova office building as well,” says Lina Maskoliūnė, Business Unit Director, Vilnius of Technopolis.
The Nova building will meet the A+ requirements for energy efficiency. Caverion will also install solar collectors, heat pumps and ventilation units with high rates of heat recovery. Also the indoor lighting solutions will minimise electricity consumption.
“We know that Technopolis always sets highest standards and exceptional requirements to ensure the comfort of personnel in their campuses. Knowing that we have already met these expectations makes us very proud. This new project is also exceptional; we will for example equip all rooms with active cooling beams to guarantee maximum levels of comfort and quiet system operations, and 400 external façade blinds which can be adjusted according to the intensity of sunlight,” says Egidijus Šydeikis, General Manager of Caverion Lithuania.
Caverion’s installation work starts in July and is estimated to finish in the summer of 2020. The size of the new Nova building will be 26,700 m2.
Caverion also recently announced a property maintenance service agreement with Technopolis, covering five campuses in Finland, Sweden and Norway. Read more about our services to Technopolis.
