Caverion wins building technology modernisation project for Norwegian School of Economics
Caverion has won a contract with the general contractor HENT to deliver all building systems for the renovation of the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway. The value of the contract is EUR 9 million. The developer for the project is Statsbygg, Norwegian government agency.
The goal of the renovation is to improve energy efficiency and save costs by modernising the existing 12,000-square-metre building. Caverion’s Total Technical Solutions delivery includes Heating & Sanitation, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Cooling, Electricity, Information & Communication Services, including AV, Security & Safety, and Automation.
“We have had a good cooperation with Caverion in several earlier projects and are happy to have such a stable and professional partner on board for this important project. The project requires that all partners work together in harmony to put their expertise in best use for the benefit of the end client, the government’s property developer Statsbygg,” says Simon Stevnebø, Head of Marketing at HENT.
“The renovation and modernisation of old buildings and their technical systems is one of the best ways to improve energy efficiency. With buildings being responsible for one third of Co2 emissions in Europe, we have a lot to gain for our climate by upgrading buildings with smarter technology,” says Knut Gaaserud, Executive Vice President of Caverion Norway.
Caverion’s work will start in May 2019 and will be completed by 2020. Read more about our services to general contractors.
