NEW research: eat 20% less
FACT: Eat fewer calories, lose more weight PROVEN: Consume nearly 20% less calories with Zotrim At last there is a well proven solution to help the estimated 13 million dieters in the UK (1) reduce their food intake - fending off diet-induced hunger pangs so you crave less, eat less and lose more. A new study into the effects of natural diet aid Zotrim (2) has shown that after taking it you may: · Eat nearly 20% less calories (17.6%) – that’s an average of 132.2 calories per meal: equivalent to two slices of bread · Consume 12.4% less food · Reduce intake of high fat sweet items such as cookies by over a quarter (26.6%) This is the first time a diet aid that is available in the UK has been shown to reduce food intake. Dr. Jason Halford says, “These findings suggest that the ingredients contained in the Zotrim formulation produce a robust acute effect on caloric intake. If sustained, such changes could benefit weight control, as observed in previous studies on the formulation.” A previous study (3) showed that when taking Zotrim, would-be dieters lost 11.5 pounds (on average) in 45 days in comparison to just 0.5 pounds for the placebo group. The same study also found that the stomach empties at a slower rate after taking Zotrim, helping to promote the feeling of fullness during a meal and the feeling of satisfaction after. This is supported by the latest study as meals were finished significantly sooner (average of three minutes earlier) when talking Zotrim as users became full more quickly. Therefore, Zotrim enables users to eat less during meals and snack less in between, regardless of their chosen diet programme – giving greater control to: · Lose and maintain weight · Maintain dieting momentum - It can be used alongside any diet or weight loss programme to help avoid hunger pangs · Prevent overindulging at buffets, big social occasions and all-inclusive holidays · Eat female sized portions again! £21.95 - available from Natures Remedies - www.zotrim.com REFERENCES: 1 Mintel, 2004 2 Dr Jason Halford et al. ‘Experimental study to investigate the impact of a patented herb extract formulation (Yerba Mate, Guarana, Damiana; Zotrim) on food intake and appetite ratings in women.’ 34th British Feeding and Drinking Group Meeting, 2010. 3 Anderson, T and Fogh, J. 2001. Weight loss and delayed gastric emptying following a South American herbal preparation in overweight patients. Journal Human Nutrition Diet, 14, pp. 243-250. NOTES TO THE EDITOR: The double blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over designed experimental study investigated the impact of oral administration of a patented herbal extract formation (Zotrim) on appetite and food/energy intake by 58 women (BMI 18.5 – 29.9 kg/m2) from October 2008 to December 2009. Eligible participants attended an eating laboratory and were given Zotrim or a placebo (3 tablets taken with 100 ml of water) followed 15 minutes later by a set, fixed breakfast and were asked to consume it all. Following breakfast they were instructed not to eat or drink apart from water. The participants attended the laboratory pre lunch and were again given Zotrim or a placebo 15 minutes (3 tablets taken with 100 ml of water) prior to lunch, four hours after the initial dose. Participants were then offered an ad-libitum buffet lunch. The intake of each item of lunch was measured and the caloric intake (Kcal) was calculated. Press enquiries: Hollie@ccdpr.com
