Marc Ramos - Naturtint’s Colour Consultant and stylist to the stars, including Lady GaGa, The Sugababes, Jamie Winstone and Gabriella Cilmi offers his backstage perspective on this season’s key colours and sassy styles.

BLONDE BOMBSHELL The prediction: “From working on the Mulberry show in New York, I predict that blonde will be big this season, especially feminine, dusty shades. Colours will be matte with peach and apricot tones lifting and complementing glowing cheeks for an effortlessly cool feel.” Get the look: “For an updated look, opt for a more disheveled style and deliberately show your roots. This can be achieved either by growing your roots out slightly or shadowing them, colouring them darker to the rest of your hair. Using Naturtint Honey Blonde (9N) if you have light brown hair, start the application an inch from the root, leaving a slightly darker section. Alternatively select a shade that is either one or two shades darker than your current colour. This technique does require confidence and skill so log onto my step-by-step hair colouring videos if you need a helping hand (www.naturesdream.co.uk). Celebrity copycats: Drew Barrymore, Fern Cotton and PIxie Lott SUPER SLEEK The prediction: “As seen on Jaeger’s London show there will be more polished looks with clean lines, high shine and a hard finish.” Get the look: “Clean, freshly coloured hair with a high gloss finish creates healthy looking sleek locks. Select a darker colour as they tend to have a glossier look as the light reflects better off darker shades. If you add a multi tonal finish to the hair (by mixing in an extra tone) it will also reflect light to achieve the desired effect.” Celebrity copycats: Anne Hathaway, Mariah Carey and Rhianna BRAIDED BUNCH: The prediction: “Sophisticated braids and disheveled plaits are making a major comeback. Wear them loose, tightly wrapped or add accessories such as threaded ribbons for a chic yet casual feel.” Get the look: “To achieve effortless looking plaits with ease make sure your hair is not freshly washed – “dirtier” hair is easier to work with when creating braids and waves. Also, try adding a texturising spray to the hair, making sure you work it all the way through to the ends. This will give you a messy rather than military look. For that effortless effect, avoid starting from the roots when you begin the plait and work more than one colour into your hair, such as a Golden and a Copper tone from the Naturtint range for added interest. Celebrity copycats: Joss Stone, Sienna Miller and Jennifer Aniston “If colouring your hair this Spring/Summer select a colourant that cares as it colours. Naturtint, the chemically-light permanent hair colourant is free from ammonia, resorcinol and parabens. Formulated with active vegetable extracts and selected organic ingredients it is kinder to sun parched strands. Likewise, Naturtint’s Nutrideep Multiplier is the ultimate beach bag essential.
