Regent Surgical Health Executive Team to Speak at ASCs 2011
Presentations Will Focus on Improving the Clinical and Operational Health of ASCs
Westchester, IL (May 2, 2011) – Regent Surgical Health, a leading specialist in surgery center development and management, is pleased to announce three members of its executive team have been invited by the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) to speak at its annual meeting, ASCs 2011.
ASCs 2011 will be held May 11-14 in Orlando Florida. Regent presentation topics and times include:
May 11 from 8:00am – 5:00pm: Regent Director of Clinical Operations Carla Shehata, RN, BSN and three others will host a workshop on The CMS Infection Prevention Mandate for ASCS: Key Strategies to Enhance Performance. This session will examine the infection control prevention requirements mandated during Medicare’s ASC survey process. Problem-prone areas and practices likely to lead to deficiencies will be identified and proactive, preventative strategies discussed.
May 13 from 3:45pm – 5:00pm: Joyce Deno Thomas, RN and Regent SVP of Operations, will present Improving Your ASC: A Day that Makes a Difference. She will outline steps ASC administrators can take during the course of one day to determine where their center is succeeding or failing. Recommendations will include experiencing a patient admission first hand, reviewing billing and scheduling processes, and effectively communicating with physicians and the administrative team.
May 13 from 3:45pm – 5:00pm: Regent Corporate Purchasing Director Amy Gagliardi, will share insights on Getting GPOs to Work for You. This presentation will discuss how ASCs participating in group purchasing organizations can take full advantage of their potential benefits. Attendees will learn how to maximize the use of their ASCs GPO to strengthen the materials management program at their ASC.
Regent will also be presenting in the main exhibit hall at booth #426.
