Paper Outlines Effect on Hospital Revenue and Patient, Staff Satisfaction

Moraine, OH (Feb. 2, 2012)--Rural Health Clinic Billing, the only billing company that is singularly focused on providing the leadership, expertise and technology necessary to enhance the success rate of small-balance billing collections at hospitals and clinics, has today released a white paper designed to help decision makers understand the paramount importance of small-balance billing collections.

“Spending time collecting on a $20 bill often ends up at the bottom of the priorities pile, but the truth is that $20 dollar bill has a long tail,” says Rural Health Clinic Billing co-founder Greg Robinson. “Failing to properly work even small balances can have a devastating effect on patient and staff satisfaction as well as hospital income.”

The paper specifically addresses three potential damages that can ensue as a result of mismanagement of small balance bills; damages to patient satisfaction, damages to physician/staff satisfaction, and damages to hospital finances.

Rural Health Clinic Billing was founded by a critical access hospital administrator, Dr. Donza Worden, who was tired of getting stopped on the street by friends and neighbors complaining about billing issues related to small balances. He joined forces with experienced revenue-cycle manager, Greg Robinson, to create this unique solution.
