TV Without Borders: International TV Partnerships and IPTV Delivery Become a Highlight at TV Connect Forum 2012 in Istanbul
Celebro Media Networks, international IPTV and broadcast specialists, presented the session 'TV Without Borders: How Can Innovative Delivery Methods Enrich Audience Understanding of World Events' at the sixth annual TV Connect Forum EurAsiaEastEurope 2012 in Istanbul on 10 October 2012. It took place in the stream ‘Achieving Quality of Experience through Innovative Architecture’.
In his speech, Wesley Dodd, Director of Business & Consulting, talked about new ways for broadcasters to reach global audiences through IPTV and two-way partnerships. Wesley highlighted that IPTV provides an opportunity for major international players like CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera to launch bespoke TV products for local audiences in various countries using IPTV delivery and partnerships between major channels and local TV stations, which was not possible before. He stressed that innovative delivery methods empower user experience across different screens and put the means of distribution in the hands of the audience with mobile applications and internet-enabled screens.
“The globalisation of content is now best served by a partnership between the people who make the content, those who distribute it and those who receive it. By using these technologies we can collaborate across borders, across platforms – and cultures. We can maximise revenues, reach new audiences and deliver our messages to people who more than ever before are living in the world where TV has no borders,” said Wesley Dodd.
The presentation was based on the company’s innovative experience in facilitating international channel partnerships and delivering what appear to be conventional live TV but using IP delivery. Amongst its recent completed projects, Celebro Media Networks worked with BBC Turkish on the re-launch of their daily current affairs show ‘Dunya Gundemi’ providing news bulletins to Turkish channel NTV. The company was also recently launch consultants for BBC World Service's first TV news and current affairs programme in Swahili for African audiences, and earlier this year - for BBC World Service’s first international IPTV service with live news bulletins in Russian.
TV Connect EurAsiaEastEurope is the leading regional conference platform driving the debate, development and deployment of IP delivered TV, reflecting on the industry-leading knowledge of Informa Telecoms & Media, the media partners of Celebro Media Networks.
