Cell ITS wins Singapore order worth SEK 12 million Cell ITS has signed a contract with Singapore Engineering Software Pte. Ltd. for the immediate delivery of a command training simulator, CATS TYR, worth SEK 12 million. Development company Singapore Engineering Software (SES), which works on projects for armed forces throughout Asia, has ordered the CATS TYR simulator system from Cell ITS, a subsidiary of the Cell Network group. The order follows an evaluation of the systems established on the market, and Cell ITS was the chosen supplier. Work has begun, and delivery will be completed in October. "The sale of CATS TYR is an international breakthrough for Cell ITS. The partnership with SES is strategically important for our future expansion in the region," says Claes-Erik Frölund, MD of Cell ITS. CATS TYR has been developed for the operational command training of senior defence commands. Compared with traditional exercises, the simulator system offers realistic training conditions in complex situations where it takes into account resources, the environment and other parameters that affect the course of events. The TYR simulator is based on CATS, Cell ITS' general simulator platform. CATS TYR is already used by the Swedish Defence Wargaming Centre for training the senior military command, by SWEDINT (Swedish Armed Forces International Command) for training in the command of peacekeeping forces in international operations, and by the Fire Training School in Warsaw for training in rescue work.
