Cell Network and Volvo Cars cooperate in marketing of interactive labor law training program Cell Network AB and Volvo Car Corporation today signed a cooperation agreement for the marketing and sales of an interactive training program for labor law. "This is an effective and exciting way to make use of the opportunities offered by new technology," says Anders Abramsson of Volvo Cars, who was project manager for the development of the training program. "We hope that the program will be an attractive method for our managers to enhance their expertise in this area." The training program, which was introduced by Volvo Cars at the beginning of the year, has been well received and has also attracted a large amount of interest among other engineering companies. For this reason, Volvo Cars and Cell Network have signed a cooperation agreement giving Cell Network the right to market and sell the training program against payment of a license fee. During 1999, Cell Network and Volvo Cars cooperated to develop an interactive training program in labor legislation. The project was initiated by Volvo Cars after major advantages were identified in using interactive training to increase the expertise in labor-related legal issues among the company's 1,100 managers. The training program is centered around the managers being transferred to an office "somewhere in Sweden." At this office, they have to act in several different situations in coordination with their virtual coworkers. The managers receive immediate feedback regarding their actions. A demonstration of the training program is available at www.cellnetwork.com under "offerings."
