CellPoint Appoints Lars Persson to the Board of Directors Stockholm, July 24 - CellPoint Inc. (Nasdaq: CLPT, www.cellpt.com) announces that Lars Persson has joined the Board of Directors. Lars Persson is currently the President of Telia Mobile International, a division of Telia Mobile. Telia Mobile is the leading mobile operator in the Nordic countries and one of the worlds leading mobile operators through the International division under Mr. Persson. "My recent travels and work around the world have confirmed the value of positioning technology and location services, where CellPoint already leads the world," said Persson. "Based on my Telia experience in launching international mobile Internet services and mobile portals, I am convinced that CellPoint is in an extremely strong position to deliver mobile location and mobile Internet services worldwide. I also see very strong potential through subsidiary Unwire, an innovator in the wireless field for telematics services." Mr. Persson has been with Telia for three years and was the Managing Director for France Telecom in the Nordic countries from 1992 - 1997, now known commercially as Global One. Prior to that he held other senior management positions in telecommunications and technology companies dating back to 1980. "By agreement with his current employer, we will not be announcing his name until next week." The CEO of CellPoint Europe will lead worldwide operations of the CellPoint Systems companies through subsidiaries in Sweden, South Africa and England.
