CellPoint Appoints President of Subsidiary Unwire Stockholm, May 11 - CellPoint Inc. (NASD: CLPT; www.cellpt.com) announces that David Ericksson has been appointed President of Unwire AB. An M.Sc. graduate in Industrial and Management Engineering at University of Technology Linköping, Sweden, David Ericksson has more than 15 years of experience in development and internationalization of high technology companies. Over the last five years, Ericksson has been in top management positions in such diverse fields as telecommunications, biotech, traffic management, and non-invasive quality control. Michael Wallon, co-founder of Unwire and recently acting President, said "We have guided the company through critical development and commercialization stages and by appointing David Ericksson we now have the leader that will take Unwire through the globalization of our technology and applications." Unwire has numerous strategic alliances already with GSM operators, customers and partners, and in recent events has announced agreements with Ericsson, Europolitan, Teligent, Allhabo Doors, SOS Alarm, PM-Luft, Kipling and Electrolux. "We routinely see predictions of more than one billion GSM cell phones by 2005, but this number is only a small percentage of the potential applications of our wireless technology for machine-to-machine telematics across all industries," said David Ericksson. "We will continue to make strategic moves in Unwire to secure and extend Unwire's position as a world leader in telematics." Telematics involves wireless remote management and control of machines and equipment. The field of applications spans many industries within transport and logistics, alarm and security, process control, service and retail and includes applications for logistics, alarm management, elevator systems, vending machines, container management, meter reading, fleet management, quality control, cash and ATM terminals, gate and door management, security, supervision and service information. Unwire AB (www.unwire.com) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CellPoint Inc. Unwire develops and manufactures wireless telematics terminals, designs wireless applications and is considered to be a leading company in the world for innovative wireless telematics services. "At CeBIT in Germany this year, we had thousands of visitors to our Stand," said Michael Wallón of Unwire. "We demonstrated telematics services and techniques that are totally unique and for the second year in a row, we have not seen anything similar from any other company in the world." Unwire has two GSM Server terminals products, the UP 100 and UP 200. Unique software is written for each new application, and Unwire has a growing software library of commercially deployable applications. The terminal connects to a serial interface and becomes the interface to machinery and other equipment. CellPoint Inc.
