CellPoint Appoints Stephen Childs to the Board of Directors Company Continues to Position Itself for the Future in Wireless London, May 25 - CellPoint Inc. (NASD: CLPT, www.celpt.com) announces that Stephen Childs has joined the Board of Directors. "Mr. Childs is a long time telecoms professional with broad international experience and will make significant contributions to the CellPoint companies," said Peter Henricsson, Chairman and CEO of CellPoint Inc. Stephen Childs was most recently Group Director - New Business Ventures for Orange PLC in the UK where he was responsible for the expansion of Orange into new ventures in the UK, Europe and the United States. He was also on the boards of KPN Orange of Belgium and Orange of Switzerland. "I see CellPoint as being very advanced in location services and technology," said Childs. "Location is a core wireless technology - a cornerstone of the Mobile Internet with even greater necessity in the future with the advent of WAP phones that will establish many new applications for business and personal markets." Childs has also held senior management positions with Deutsche Telekom, US West in Russia, and Millicom in Pakistan. Childs entered the mobile wireless industry the early 1980's as the General Manager for McCaw Cellular Communications establishing cellular operations in California and Nevada. London Office On-Line CellPoint has opened the London office and launched CellPoint Systems Europe Ltd. Employees from the Swedish subsidiary in management, marketing, sales, products and services will be relocating to London this summer, led by Johan Falk. CellPoint Systems AB in Sweden will continue to house the WAP Innovation and Development Center team, now 15 people strong. Nordic sales activities, technical operations and support will also remain in Sweden, and the core system development group will remain in Johannesburg, South Africa, led by Albert van Urk, Vice President of Technology. Harald Nabseth, an 11-year telecoms veteran of Ericsson and Nokia, will be the location manager for CellPoint Sweden. Hadar Cars has chosen to remain in Sweden to pursue other interests. "We expect to make the final selection in the next few weeks and have been targeting senior wireless industry people with strong experience in the GSM operator environment.
