Unwire Signs $2.8 Million Contract Stockholm, September 8 - Mobile phone users in Ireland will soon be able to buy from vending machines using their mobile phones, thanks to a $2.8 million technology deal between Unwire and integrated mobile technologies specialist ItsMobile.com. Under the two-year contract, Unwire will provide 8,500 telematics servers to ItsMobile.com for use in GSM-based machine-to-machine solutions for vending machines and parking services. ItsMobile.com can also utilise CellPoint's GSM positioning services for its vehicle fleet dispatch. Unwire's wireless telematics terminals and applications provide remote management and control of machines and equipment through GSM networks. ItsMobile develops mobile commerce applications and telemetry solutions for cellular operators and mobile ISPs across Europe.
