CellPoint Appoints Jan Rynning to the Board of Directors LONDON, November 1, 2001-- CellPoint Inc. (Nasdaq: CLPT, SSE: CLPT), a global provider of mobile location software technology and platforms, announces that Jan Rynning has joined the board of CellPoint Inc. Mr. Rynning, 50, is a lawyer and associate partner at the law firm Ahlford Advokatbyra in Uppsala, Sweden. He is educated in Sweden and the U.S. and has focused on business law, international contract law, international negotiations, and has been involved in many reconstructions and restructurings of companies. Rynning has been on the board of directors of numerous companies in Sweden and internationally, both private and public, among others Provobis, Ticket and currently Enea Data AB. Peter Henricsson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CellPoint, Inc. commented, "Mr. Rynning has already been adding valuable insight in the restructuring of CellPoint. CellPoint now has seven directors on the board, six of whom will stand for re-election in conjunction with the company's annual stockholders' meeting on December 5th, 2001. Mats Jonnerhag, a director since December 1998, will retire from the board at the expiry of his term on December 5th, 2001. Advisory Board The Company continues to grow its Advisory Board, which consists of individuals with specialized knowledge, in various fields, who act as advisors, door openers or discussion partners from time-to-time on an ad- hoc basis. CellPoint's Advisory Board currently includes a financial advisor from the U.S. who is an experienced business strategist and contract negotiator, a lawyer from North America now resident in London, a Swedish business strategist well versed in European financial markets and a European industry expert in third generation (3G) mobile services. These advisors are non-director members and shareholders with unique skills; they are presently assisting the company in several ongoing projects and are interested in CellPoint's future growth.
