Bofors Missiles outsources production of electronics Celsius business unit Bofors Missiles and Sonec ASA have signed a Letter of Intent concerning outsourcing of electronics production at Bofors Missiles' Brickegård engineering workshops in Karlskoga. Sonec takes over the business and the parties are to sign an agreement on long-term collaboration. The agreement affects 190 employees. Bofors Missiles is focusing future investment on its core business - development, final assembly and testing of missile systems in the following sectors: air defence, anti armour and stand-off missiles. Celsius' purpose in outsourcing these activities is to improve service in production, to be more flexible and to secure greater profitability. Sonec ASA is Norway's largest contract manufacturer in electronics, numbering 640 employees and with sales in excess of NOK 1 billion.
