Celsius acquires German surface-engineering specialist

Celsius Materials Technology acquires German surface- engineering specialist Celsius-owned Celsius Materials Technology, has acquired the German surface engineering company Nussbaum Oberflächentechnik GmbH. Advanced surface engineering is one of Celsius Materials Technology's core businesses. Operations are currently concentrated to Yttec, in Katrineholm and Karlstad. Yttec has the technical competence not only to solve surface engineering problems but, with access to the laboratory resources of its sister companies, can offer complete solutions in terms of material selection. "Materials technology is a strategically important field for the Celsius Group. Furthermore, there is sharply expanding demand for technically advanced surface engineering, especially in the automotive and electronic industries. Combining the two companies will make them stronger and will also create a larger international network, which coincides neatly with the demands made by major systems customers for partners with a global reach," states Celsius CEO Lars G.
