Celsius-owned Bofors Weapon Systems received order

Celsius-owned Bofors Weapon Systems has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Materiel Division of the Finnish Naval Staff for the coordinated development of an electrical laying system for 40 mm naval guns. The order includes feasibility studies as well as the delivery of a trial gun to each country where the existing hydraulic powdered system can be replaced with a modern direct supply electric power unit and electronics, giving an improved operational performance and lower costs. Bofors Weapon Systems has previously received an order for the comparative upgrading of 40 mm land-based guns from Sweden. The technology and experience from this enterprise will be utilized for the upgrading of naval guns.
