Celsius sells Kockums Computer Systems Celsius has sold its wholly-owned Malmö-based subsidiary company Kockums Computer Systems (KCS) to 6:e AP-fonden (The Sixth Swedish Pension Insurance Fund). KCS is one of the world's leading suppliers of IT-based systems for the ship design and production, with customers throughout the global shipbuilding industry. KCS has some 85 employees in Malmö, with a further 70 employees at nine subsidiaries on three continents. 6:e AP-fonden is an independent manager of Sweden's state pension funds. The Fund invests in unlisted Swedish companies with promising growth potential in a number of priority business areas. From within its own organization or via an extensive network of contacts, the Fund also contributes the competence required to promote growth. The sale is consistent with the Celsius Group's policy of strategic consolidation, and has only a marginal impact on Group earnings. As a result of this deal, KCS gains a financially solid owner with a long-term investment perspective, who will be able to further develop the company and its business concept.
