Celsius supplier of radar warners for German Tornado

Celsius chosen as supplier of radar warners for the German Tornado aircraft Germany has chosen Celsius as supplier of the new radar warning system for the Tornado aircraft of the German Air Force and Navy. The order is an important step for the Celsius business unit CelsiusTech Electronics which now enters the export market with its know-how in the area of warning systems. Contract negotiations relating to this project are expected to start in the summer with Daimler-Chrysler of Germany which, as part of the Panavia consortium, is system-responsible for the mid-life improvement of the Tornado aircraft. CelsiusTech Electronics has developed electronic warfare systems since the end of the 1950s and has, among other things, delivered radar warning systems to the Royal Swedish Airforce's various generations of aircraft and has established itself as one of the world´s leading suppliers of airborne passive countermeasures. The radar warning system for the Tornado is the next generation of such systems, based on CelsiusTech Electronics' competence in the area of warning systems.
