Ceridian UK wins Technology Award at the 2014 Payroll World awards for its mobile app
Ceridian UK, one of the UK’s leading HCM technology and service providers, has won the Technology Award for its mobile app at the 2014 Payroll World Awards. In the judges’ citation, it was stated that the technology had halved pay queries.

The functionality of the new mobile app includes:
- View your payslip in a mobile phone friendly way – the dynamic features provide users with interactive tooltips to explain pay elements. (Ceridian customers have seen pay queries halved by this functionality alone)
- Submitting holiday requests
- Viewing and updating personal details: name, marital status, nationality, address and contact details
- Approving requests such as holidays (for managers)
- Team calendar – the ability to view your team’s holidays in a calendar to help determine availability prior to approving holidays
- Extensible – much of the existing functionality within the Ceridian HRevolution suite of payroll, pensions and HR can be mobile enabled.
The benefits of the app include:
- Increased productivity – completing tasks ‘on the go’ saves time
- Increased employee engagement – employees want to be able to interact with their employer using their phone in the same way they do for checking email, using facebook, tweeting etc.
- Further decreased pay queries – the deployment of the Ceridian HRevolution online payslip has decreased pay queries by over 50 per cent. Now on a mobile, access is even easier making payroll teams yet more productive.
At the same awards, Lisa Brew, payroll executive at Ceridian UK, was highly commended in the Payroll World ‘Rising Star Award’ 2014.
The Payroll World Awards, now in their fourth year, reward best practice and professional excellence in the payroll sector.
