CESA chair honoured by NAFEM
Oryino continues to push collaboration message
Nick Oryino, chair of the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA), has been awarded a Doctorate of Foodservice by NAFEM, the North American Association of Foodservice Manufacturers.
In a ceremony held on February 7, during the 2013 NAFEM Show in Orlando, Florida, Tom Campion, NAFEM president, commented that the association was grateful for the contribution Oryino and his fellow Doctorate recipients had made to the hospitality industry. “We are pleased to recognise their accomplishments.”
NAFEM’s Doctorate of Foodservice programme recognises elected leaders of major foodservice industry associations for their commitment and dedication to their respective organisations and the industry at large.
Nick Oryino has committed CESA to building closer links with other organisations in the foodservice industry during his term as chair. “Manufacturers, distributors and consultants can best help foodservice operators meet the critical challenges facing our industry by collaborating and working together on the synergies,” he said.
Already CESA, CEDA (the Catering Equipment Distributors Association) and the FCSI (Foodservice Consultants Society International) are working on a series of initiatives covering areas as diverse as training, sustainability, waste management and apprenticeships.
