CESA unveils 2015 Conference Programme
Strong speaker platform plus procurement panel and great networking opportunities
CESA has unveiled the programme for its 2015 Conference, which runs on 13thNovember at the Hilton London Wembley. The event is organised in association with FCSI, BHA, CEDABOND and ENSE and is open to all those working in the foodservice industry.
A dynamic speaker platform boasts broadcaster Evan Davis, who is this year’s Conference Chair. His insights into the economy are sure to go down well with delegates, while his experiences in Dragons’ Den should prepare him for any awkward questions.
Presentations include ‘how a global brand delivers’, by Bernard Morauw, senior director of architecture and restaurant design at McDonald's International, and Martin Caraher of City University, who will look at food trends and their impact on equipment.
The Conference theme, ‘teamwork makes great business,’ is also the subject of the presentation from Dr Steve Bull, whose insights as England cricket team coach and psychologist should be fascinating. The key note address is from former football referee Howard Webb MBE.
Another conference highlight will be the ‘procurement panel session’, chaired by Duncan Ackery of hospitality specialist Ackery Consulting. The panellists include Simon Marsden, international purchasing manager at Wyndham Worldwide, and Darren Byford, sales manager of YPO. Conference will also see a major CESABIM announcement.
As usual with the CESA Conference, there are plenty of opportunities to network with leading foodservice operators, manufacturers, consultants and distributors. On Thursday 12 November delegates can choose to play at Stanmore Golf Club during the day and there’s an informal dinner in the evening. On Friday CESA will host the annual gala dinner, including the presentation of the FCSI Sustainable Catering Equipment Award and the 20th CESA/The Caterer Outstanding Contribution to the Catering Equipment Industry Award.
The Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) is the authoritative voice of the catering equipment industry, representing over 170 companies who supply, service and maintain all types of commercial catering equipment - from utensils to full kitchen schemes.
