CESA helps companies access $9billion market through world’s biggest catering exhibition

Gulfood 2014, Dubai International Exhibition Centre, 23rd February to 27th February

Catering Equipment suppliers who want to market to the Middle East can get a grant of £2,500 to help them participate in Gulfood 2014. Information is available through CESA, the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association, which has been appointed by UK Trade & Investment as the Catering Equipment Group Organiser at the event. This year the Great Britain Pavilion at Gulfood, which CESA is responsible for, has been expanded to offer more companies the opportunity to exhibit.

UK-based equipment suppliers can book their stand through CESA and find out about the grant. As well as taking on responsibility for pre-show administration, including building the stand, CESA is arranging networking events with local trade contacts during the Show. Extra support is available for first time exhibitors, including advice on the UAE market.

This will be the tenth time that CESA has been responsible for the presence of UK equipment companies at the Show, and each year the Pavilion is over-subscribed. “It’s great news that we have extra space for more UK exhibitors,” says Keith Warren, CESA director. “Many UK companies are now established in Dubai directly as a result of having previously exhibited using UKTI and CESA support. Several previous exhibitors on the UK Pavilion now exhibit with distributors, demonstrating the strength of work that has been achieved over the years and the resulting export successes.

“Gulfood is the world’s biggest catering show,” he adds. “Exhibitors are attracted by the size of the market it represents – around US$9billion. Our job is to help UK equipment suppliers gain access to the market.

“The grant funding is capped, so companies wanting to take advantage of it should apply as soon as possible.”

To find out more about exhibiting at Gulfood, contact CESA direct. Exhibitors do not have to be CESA members to participate in the scheme.
