Foodservice conference will examine international regulations, trade, threats and opportunities.
Foodservice operators, equipment manufacturers and distributors, consultants and procurement professionals will meet to discuss the international foodservice equipment industry at a conference to be held in London in June 2013.
Europe Without Frontiers is organised by EFCEM, the European Federation of Catering Equipment Manufacturers. It takes place on June 26that the Marriott Hotel, County Hall, London. Delegate tickets cost from £350. The host for the event is CESA, the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association.
The conference will look at trade barriers, the economic outlook and European legislation and regulation. It will also discuss carbon and energy reduction. Looking further afield, presentations will cover China, both as a threat and an opportunity, and the issue of closing the trade gap between Europe and the USA, India and Asia.
Alongside the prospect of hearing presentations from some of the international foodservice industry’s leading experts, the conference is a special networking event. “With London hosting the 2013 event, this is an exceptional opportunity for UK operators and suppliers to meet with their international peers,” says Nick Oryino, chair of CESA. “The EFCEM conference annually attracts VIPs from across Europe and from every sector of the foodservice industry.”
Speakers include Ian Ascough, Head of Regional and Bilateral Trade Negotiations Europe, Trade and International Directorate; Nick Bannister, Chief Executive CMS and former Senior Vice President and Managing Director for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA); and Maggie Charnley, Head of Sustainable Products, DEFRA.
