Challengermode Becomes Official Platform Partner for the BLAST.tv CS:GO Paris Major Qualifiers in Europe and Oceania.
The partnership will enable any team in Europe or Oceania to qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major taking place later this year in May.
The partnership makes Challengermode the exclusive platform partner for the BLAST.tv Paris Major qualifiers in Europe and Oceania.
Stockholm 31 January 2023: Global esports platform Challengermode has announced that it will be the official platform for the European and Oceanic qualifying process for the BLAST.tv Paris Major in CS:GO. The partnership will introduce open & closed qualification tournaments in February hosted on the Challengermode platform.
In an exclusive launch event from the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris in January, BLAST unveiled plans for the CS:GO Major taking place in Paris, France in May this year. Announced alongside the $1,250,000 prize pool were the Regional Major Ranking (RMR) qualifiers for Europe, Asia and Americas, of which Online Challengermode Qualifiers will be hosted for Europe and Oceania.
This partnership builds on an existing relationship between the two companies where BLAST has been using Challengermode’s automated tournament technology to actualize large scale qualifiers for global events where competition is otherwise reserved for the top percentile of players. In 2021, Challengermode partnered with BLAST to host the North American and Nordic Qualifiers for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.
To ensure competitive integrity is upheld, a suite of anti-cheat technology will run on the client and server side during the qualifiers. Powered by Akros, the hybrid anti-cheat system uses heuristic and signature based detection schemes to identify both known and unknown cheats by scanning for anomalous objects in memory and on the file system. Akros currently supports VAC protected Steam games and is a customary Anti-Cheat measure taken by Challengermode on all its CS:GO competitions.
Taking place from February 13-19, any CS:GO team in Europe or Oceania can sign up and compete on the Challengermode platform to qualify for one of the largest competitions in the game, a Counter-Strike Major event.

Philip Hubner, CBDO at Challengermode, said: “It’s an honor to be a part of such a milestone event for CS:GO, and an even greater honor to give thousands of aspiring players a chance to play and qualify for an event of this scale.”
Andrew Haworth, Commissioner for BLAST Premier, said: “Challengermode are a tried and trusted partner for BLAST and we are delighted to have their expert support in delivering the Qualifiers for Europe and Oceania - which will both provide a key pathway for all aspiring teams in their efforts to reach Counter-Strike’s most iconic event.”
