Champion Energy Services Names David J. Tudor as new President & CEO
Brings more than 30 years of energy industry experience to new position.
Champion Energy Services (www.championenergyservices.com) today announced that David J. Tudor has been appointed as its President and Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to joining Champion Energy, David was President and Chief Executive Officer of ACES, a national energy management company located in Carmel, Indiana. During his 14-year tenure, ACES grew substantially, from managing 3,500 Mws in 1999, to managing in 2012 over 50,000 Mws and 2.5 BCF/day of peak natural gas purchases representing more than $2 billion in transactions. Prior to ACES, David served as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of PG&E Energy Trading, where he managed its energy marketing and trading operations in the United States and Canada. Prior to PG&E, David was Senior Vice President of Edisto Resources Corporation (Edisto) and President and CEO of Energy Source, Inc. (ESI), Edisto’s gas marketing subsidiary, playing a key role in the turn-around of Edisto and the sale of ESI to PG&E. David currently serves as an Independent Director of the general partner of Western Gas Partners, LP (NYSE:WES) and Western Gas Equity Partners, LP (NYSE:WGP), which are master limited partnerships organized by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation to own, operate, acquire and develop midstream energy assets. He serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee for both WES and WGP.
