LOCAL COMPANY APPOINTS NEW PROCESS AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER

Health and Safety and Employment law specialists; mhl Support, has recently promoted Kevin Mellor to Process and Business Improvement Manager. Kevin is now in charge of developing and implementing management systems after a natural progression through the company. Kevin has worked for the Newcastle-under-Lyme based company for six years and has progressed through the administration and operational side of the business. After serving nine years in the Royal Navy, Kevin has taken the opportunity to retrain using the “Prince 2” project management scheme, becoming part of mhl Support’s Environmental Champion’s team. “This is a great opportunity for me and I look forward to becoming part of a dedicated team,” explained Kevin. “mhl Support has given me professional development opportunities that has enabled me to work up the ladder.” Kevin has become proficient in applying management standards (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001) for the company. He is currently studying for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s “Professional Development Scheme” with Staffordshire University. “Kevin’s progression through the company is a great personal achievement,” said mhl Managing Director, Michael Slade. “Through correct training he has adapted his learning in the workplace and is already rising to the challenges that his new position is creating. “I am proud to be working for a company that is dedicated to developing its staff,” Kevin added. He was born and raised in Stoke-on-Trent and is married with a 2 year old daughter.
