mhl support, Newcastle under Lyme based Health and Safety and Employment Law specialists, recently held an internal charity event, the proceeds of which went to the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice. The company’s advocacy department organised a dress down day, baked and sold cakes and held a raffle to raise money for the charity. The children’s hospice, based in Trentham, provides respite and end of life care for children with life threatening conditions. The company raised a total of £280.00 which will be matched by parent company the Bibby Line Group. Sylvia Pearl, fundraising manager for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice said: “We are very grateful to mhl Support for raising money for us and it’s wonderful that all employees enthusiastically got involved in the activities. We hope that events like this will encourage other companies to raise money for us. The hospice is currently open just 4 days a week due to funding shortages, so we need all the support to help us move towards full time.” The company’s underlining commitment to the community is apparent, as Michael Slade, Managing Director of mhl Support explained: “We’re passionate believers in supporting the local community, because most of our employees live in the area, we feel we should support those vital services which at times can be overlooked. We’re extremely proud to be associated with the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice in this way and hope we have made a positive contribution to its fundraising efforts.” - ENDS - Images to support this release: High resolution (1-2MB) image to support release: click here Image 1: Organisers of the event, Amanda Fox, Amy Gadsby, Linda Sumnal and Angela Tizley.
