Local company helps to raise £20,000 so orphans can lead brighter futures
Sixteen members of staff from the Bibby Line Group, including one employee from its Newcastle-under-Lyme based subsidiary, Bibby Consulting & Support, have raised £20,000 to help give orphans in Africa a better education and a brighter future. With only 58 per cent of African children enrolled in primary education, and up to 16 million orphaned by HIV/AIDS, the 16 volunteers took a 10 day trip to Uganda to help increase the quality of teaching at a school home to 380 children.
