Davidson Library branch turns 20
The Davidson branch of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library (119 South Main Street, Davidson) is turning twenty this year. To mark the anniversary, the branch will host a celebratory Open House on Monday, September 28 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
“We have a lot to celebrate at this event,” said manager Ellen Giduz. “Free access to a wide array of resources, programs and services—some of which were unheard of when we opened our doors in 1995— and twenty years of tremendous community support for the library, a vital hub literally and figuratively in the heart of Davidson.”
The Open House will include activities and programs for all ages, tours of the recently remodeled building, food and a raffle of gifts donated by local merchants.
